The Sherpa shopkeepers and other staff are permanently trying to adapt the range of products on offer to meet the specific requirements of holidaymakers.
No need to throw out leftovers before leaving or take up precious space in the car boot.
How does it work?
Most of the products (household products, drinks and food) were chosen by the chain because of their small size, which is appropriate for short holidays (1 week on average, in winter). All these products in small sizes go to make up about half the references in the shop. The product sizes also correspond to the size of the small refrigerators in the rented flats and the fact that there are no deep-freezes or frozen foods compartments.
This arrangement makes for supplying just what the customer needs and avoiding waste. The holiday budget is hence reduced.
